Are you a sport lover and already know that businesses can learn a lot from spot? If so, then read on
Golf and business work together brilliantly we all know that. Our invitation only, 1st Tee Directors Club, gives you the opportunity to improve your golf or learn golf from scratch with one of the UK's leading golf coaches Julian Mellor. Coupled with high calibre networking with other CEO's, MD's and Company Owners this is an exciting club to be part of. By linking the skills you need to play golf to the business world we help you with your business skills, your leadership challenges and your personal development all in one hit.
Jo Cameron the RedMane founder, has for many years successfully run business clubs and has been testing this format with Julian for over 18 months. Following a highly successful experimental period this new club is opening it's doors to you.
We meet once a month for half a day at our home at Ardencote Golf Hotel and Spa Warwickshire.
You will join for an initial 12 months but most people continue beyond that.
We have a maximum of 14 people in a group.
It's for you if you'd like to improve your golf, if you don't play at all but would like to network in the golf environment, or if you are a golf enthusiast or are a complete beginner. It's for you if you are a CEO, MD, Department Head or a Company Owner.
During our sessions we are learning and improving our golf, not playing a round (which we all know takes far too long!)
It's an invitation only club but you can apply for a place. We have three points of entry each year, January, April and September. Email now for your application pack to email@example.com

Each session we link the learning from golf coaching with a business skill so you take away two new skill sets.
“I thought I could meet more business people by going to networking events but there simply wasn’t the calibre of people there even at places you’d expect them to be. That’s what I really like about the Directors Club, it’s people with large businesses”
"It's a space where you feel totally relaxed and safe to share important business issues. In one session it can pay for the whole years fees in just one idea that you take away."
“I will remember the Management of Change Module for the rest of my life. I’m not being funny but it was really powerful. I was in the middle of implementing a new computer system and it was proving really challenging. After the session I took away a lot more skills on how to make it go more smoothly and I’m pleased to say that it did”
Others describe it as “brilliant”. Others say it’s their “sanity in a crazy world”.
Others describe it as their “me time” because they never take time out of work to reflect.
Others say that each month they “take the ideas back to their first line meeting to implement change”
We know that you are busy and you need to make sure that any time spent out of the office has to have demonstrable business benefits. Gone are the days when spending a whole day out of the office playing golf is acceptable. These days we know that seems frivolous. But if you have always fancied leaning to play so you can join in those golf days, or if you want to improve your golf and you still want to be in and around the sport, your'e in the right place.
The purpose of the Directors club is link the skills that you need to play golf with the skills that you need in the boardroom. Designed specifically for those who want to spend time improving their golf or those who are learning from scratch, our programmes are accessible for all.
There are lots of skills that you need to play golf that are transferable into the boardroom. Things such as Strategy and Planning. Teamwork if you are playing in a team based format. Other skills such as mental strength, determination, adaptability to different environments. You also need to be able to remain calm under pressure, be aware of the rules and etiquette and must stay Mindful at all times. These are all also skills that you need in business.
During our sessions we link the golf tuition to a business topic which brings the subject to life. This is what people say they find so useful in our sessions. They say that because the learning is so practical it is easy to transfer back to the workplace.
If that's not enough to like, then there's the fresh air and the beautiful environment that a golf course provides. Many of our people say they need to get out of the office more and even when it's cold they still want to get outside.
There is so much to be gained and so much enjoyment that can be had by just being in and around the game even when not playing. Come and see it and feel it for yourself.
We follow a similar agenda each month :
0900 - Arrive, coffee and breakfast
0930 - Catch up on the month
1000 - Guided Discussion on a Business Topic
1100 - Golf Tuition
1200 - Linking the learning from both sessions
1230 - Morning Finishes
Time and again people tell us that they love being in the group. It has a relaxed but thought provoking atmosphere. It's invitation only to make sure we protect the quality of the group. You are guaranteed to meet people you wouldn't ordinarily meet across a range of sectors. To us it's about quality not quantity.
Many people want to network in golf but haven't got the time or the level of golf skills needed to play in a full on golf day. Come to us if you want to learn or improve your golf and to network with people with common interests.
You may not have received any formal business or leadership training so if you'd like lots of hints and tips and to hone your skills, you are looking in the right place. Running a team can be challenging so we are also happy to help support you with new ideas for them.
The input from other's at a similar level to yourself is also invaluable.
